Weather Situation
Areas of rain and isolated thunderstorms in the western New South Wales will

low is expected to move through western Victoria during Saturday, bringing
windy conditions and heavy rainfall over inland parts of New South Wales. The
low is expected to move to the southern Tasman Sea on Sunday with showers
lingering on the southern slopes and patchy rain in the northeast of the state.
High pressure is then expected to move over southeast Australia on Monday and
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday
Scattered to isolated showers in the east. Rain areas over the inland, with
moderate to heavy falls in the far west. Isolated thunderstorms over the
northern and western inland. East to southeast winds tending northeasterly
during the day and freshening.

Forecast for Saturday
Rain and possible thunderstorms west of the Divide with moderate to heavy falls
likely. Rain areas over the remainder apart from just isolated showers on the
north coast. Northeast to northwest winds becoming strong and gusty in many
districts, reaching gale force in southern and western parts.

Forecast for Sunday
Patchy rain over the northeast contracting further north during the day.
Isolated showers about the western slopes of the southern and central ranges
with snow on the Alps. Late showers developing in the far southwest. Fresh west
to northwest winds, strong to gale force in the southeast but easing.

Forecast for Monday
Areas of rain over the northeast corner, clearing. Isolated showers over the
southern half. Fine in the northwest. Southwest to southeast winds.
